Account Manager

Liberty Elevator Corporation is a company on the rise in Paterson New Jersey currently in search of an energetic & organized Account Manager to drive Business Development in our elevator maintenance and modernization department.  Position will be responsible for maintaining relationships within an assigned territory and prospecting new businesses while delivering exceptional service and accountability.  

To be successful in this role, you will need excellent written and verbal communication skills, as well as a proven competency in customer service, negotiations & sales. Prior experience in Business Development or B 2 B sales is preferred.

This position will be based out of the Liberty headquarters, 63 East 24th Street, Paterson, NJ. but the geographic responsibility may be within the Northern NJ, Central NJ, Southern NJ or NYC territory.

Business Development

  • Create new contacts and generate business in the Central & South Jersey area.
  • Maintenance, repairs, new techniques of “cold calling,” warm introductions.
  • Propose and follow up with maintenance, repair, and cab refurbishment surveys
  • Follow up on shut downs problem accounts
  • Follow up on recommendations from mechanics
  • Responsible for collections 
  • Follow up on dead leads – go through the database and follow up on feelers and leads that were proposed months prior. Use prophet to do so.
  • Prospecting
      • Via networking groups and alternative methods online.
      • Follow up by sending informational packets to clients
  • Modernization / Construction Leads

Account Management

  • Send out proposals, review contracts, look into customer complaints or discrepancies
  • Service Department Reports
  • Generate proposals for extra or customer requested work
  • Attend customer account related meetings
  • Facilitate contracted repair work
  • Research New companies/leads


  • Partner with & Attend professional networking events

    • CAI
    • IREM
    • BDA

Client Retention

  • Client visits/dinners/ Holiday visits
  • Organization participation (see networking)
  • Purchase/ coordinate special events, JETS tickets, Golf outings, etc. for customers
